A robber demanded money and attacked a man early Saturday morning in the College Court area.
MPD reported the robber asked the man for money while waving a knife. The man reached for the knife, receiving a cut on his hand. He later needed stitches for the wound. The victim also punched the robber in the head with his other hand.
The man got away and contacted help after the blow to the head, according to MPD.

The victim didn’t know his exact location at the time of the attack, but said he remembered seeing the robber appear in a dark hoodie with the hood up, MPD said.
