A Madison Police Department officer is on administrative leave pending an investigation into an officer-involved shooting.

MPD spokesperson Joel DeSpain said East Side officer Michele Walker is on administrative leave while the department investigates a shooting involving homicide suspect Christopher O’Kroley.

The officer-involved shooting occurred when O’Kroley exchanged gunfire with MPD shortly before his arrest Wednesday. O’Kroley was a suspect in the lethal shooting of 24-year-old Stoughton woman Caroline Nosal late Tuesday evening.
