[UPDATE Wed. March 18, 7 p.m.]: It appears the cat was not photocopied at the library but is rather just a copy of an older photo students are distributing in attempts to bring back a tradition and spread humor in the midst of midterm season.

The earliest account of the photo The Badger Herald could find is dated to 2008. The photo also appears on a Japanese website dated to 2011.

It looks like someone may be photocopying their cat and leaving copies around Steenbock Library.

A Badger Herald staff member came across the following photo while studying at the library Tuesday.

These photos apparently show up at the library somewhat frequently. If you have any information on who’s doing this, let us know at [email protected]
