Hitlist: Tracks to spice up the party

We’ve included some infectiously cool beats to start your weekend the right way

It’s no secret that Madison loves to party. But instead of the same old trap music and “Birthday Sex,” try out these songs to add some refreshing energy to your next party.

Starting out the playlist, “212” is the perfect song to get hyped up to. Eric Prydz’s “Call on Me” was a huge hit around Europe, and it’s no wonder why. The song is as infectious as the flu bug going around campus.

Other standouts include another Euro hit “Loca People,” which is part vulgar spoken word, part club banger. Up-and-coming R&B songstress Tinashe comes in with one of the most effortlessly cool songs of last year, “2 On.” It’s perfect for taking a breather and refilling your cup.

Earth, Wind & Fire’s classic “September” closes the playlist as an homage for managing to still be fresh more than 35 years later. Spice up your party playlist and make it one to remember (or not remember) the next day.
