Firefighters responded Wednesday night to a call reporting smoke from an apartment on the 1300 block of Spring Street, according to an incident report by the Madison Fire Department.
At 8:43 p.m., firefighters responded to the smell of smoke in the bathroom of a third floor apartment. According to the report, the occupant of the apartment in question met with firefighters at the front door of the building.
According to the report, the bathroom was full of smoke.

Firefighters found a tissue box that was on fire. According to the report, firefighters took the tissue box and other smoldering items to the kitchen and extinguished them in the sink. A fire investigator was also called to the scene.
