Madison Police Department used pepper spray to break up a crowd after a large disturbance occurred on University Avenue Saturday morning.

Officers saw pushing and shoving on the sidewalk, and saw several people actively fighting in the middle of a busy thoroughfare, according to a MPD incident report.

Twenty-five year-old Julius Jackson, 22-year-old Capreace Salinas and 23-year-old Richard James IV were arrested for disorderly conduct.
