Two men were arrested on the 100 block of State Street Sunday after a knife was pulled during a fist fight.

According to the Madison Police Department incident report, 64-year-old James Gulley and 50-year-old Michael Leasure broke out in a fist fight around 4:15 p.m. Sunday afternoon, which escalated when Gulley pulled out the knife and started swinging it, cutting Leasure’s hand.

Police arrived and disarmed Gulley and Madison Fire Department paramedics treated Leasure’s injured hand. The men knew each other prior to the incident. Both were arrested and taken to jail.
