Madison police arrested a man early Saturday morning, Sept. 12, on State Street after breaking store and car windows along the street.

A 43-year-old man, Nathan Revercomb, used a wooden walking stick to break the windows of both businesses and vehicles along state street, according to a Madison Police Department incident report.

A woman was driving along West Gorham Street near State Street when the suspect came up to her car and broke her rear window using his stick, according to the report.

The suspect also reportedly broke the window on a parked car, as well as windows of State Street area businesses like Jamba Juice and A Room of One’s Own.

Citizens made several 911 calls to report the destruction of property. One witness reportedly said the suspect also mentioned hurting people.

The suspect was arrested for five counts of criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct.
