Madison woman in custody following Brooks Street stabbing

A 20-year-old Madison woman is in custody after allegedly stabbing her 27-year-old boyfriend with a small paring knife early Tuesday afternoon.

According to a police report, Jasmine L. Bradley and her boyfriend were arguing in her apartment in the 300 block of North Brooks Street shortly after 1 p.m. Tuesday, when she swung the knife at the victim’s head and torso.

He was holding a duffle bag, which he used to protect him from the knife, but his arm was still cut and required several stitches, the police report said.

Bradley said her boyfriend had battered her earlier that day, which he denied, according to the police report.

Bradley, who was “cooperative with police,” is charged with second-degree reckless endangerment.
