The right music can transform a curious state of mind into one of pure bliss.
This hitlist embraces unconventional music with a wacky vibe, and welcomes deep pondering while stirring up some emotional intensity.
The song “285,” by the criminally underrated artist, Kitty, is an invigorating and dreamlike trance-inspired jam, but the truly trippy stuff is only yet to come.
Track 2, “Bloom” by Seablaze incorporates electronic bloops and beeps with chopped hip-hop samples, resulting in an out-of-this-world listen.
Another highlight is the gorgeous and surreal “Sugar Water,” by Japanese duo, Cibo Matto, which also happens to be my favorite music video of all time.
Tinashe and Doja Cat come in later and provide some rather relaxing jams, which the use of a certain plant may or may not have inspired.
Finishing the playlist is the dreamy and atmospheric, “Cause I’m a Man.”
