Madison Fire Department responded to a call off Langdon Street early this morning to a four-story housing cooperative at 244 W. Lakelawn Place.
MFD received the call at 1:13 a.m and responded immediately, according to the MFD statement.
The fire caused around $125,000 in damages to the building, displacing approximately 34 residents, the statement said.
No one was injured at the scene, according to the statement.
The American Red Cross responded to the scene, as well as the University of Wisconsin dean of students, the statement said.
According to a statement from the Red Cross, temporary housing will be provided for the residents affected at the Madison Concourse Hotel.
The fire department is still under investigation, the statement said.
