From the upper floors of the Equinox apartment, oranges and beer cans were thrown down, injuring a Waukesha woman visiting friends in Madison early Saturday morning.

According to a Madison Police Department incident report, the woman was crossing West Gorham Street around 2:25 a.m. when several young men shouted that someone was throwing oranges and beer from a balcony.

One of the men pointed toward the upper floors of the building, causing the woman to look straight up. At that moment, an orange hit her on the nose.

Madison Police Department had a weird weekend

When the police arrived, her face was bloody from a broken nose. Around her were about a dozen dented beer cans and an equal amount of split oranges on the sidewalk.

When officers entered the building, they were unable to figure out which apartment threw the fruit and cans.
