Madison man arrested for taking photos up women’s skirts

A man was arrested Thursday morning for allegedly taking photos up women’s skirts.

Steven Johanowicz, age 40, was arrested on South Carroll Street at 11 a.m. Thursday, according to a Madison Police Department incident report.

Johanowicz has been accused of taking pictures up women’s skirts. He faces tentative invasion of privacy charges, according to the report.

MPD spokesperson Joel DeSpain wrote in the report that MPD hopes to locate and speak with potential victims.

This arrest was part of an ongoing investigation by MPD and University of Wisconsin Police Department.
