A Madison teen was knocked out at East Towne Mall after being punched in the face Sunday morning.

According to a Madison Police Department incident report:

The 17-year-old had just gotten off a bus when the assailant came up to him and punched him in the head.

A witness claimed that the teen hit his head on the curb when he fell.

The assailant has not yet been identified, but he was described as a black male, 18-20 years old and about six feet tall. He was seen getting into a white car.

Police believe the victim was specifically targeted.

The teenage victim was taken to the hospital to treat his injuries.
