As most people who still use Facebook have noticed, the hip trend for everyone’s mom, best friend and distant cousin is to post a picture of oneself presently and compare it to an image from ten years prior. Some are serious, some are hilarious.
Similarly, I love to examine this translation over time through a musical lens. To celebrate this, our first hitlist of the semester pairs some of the biggest hits of ten years ago with today’s most popular songs.
Whether the music has glowed-up as much as one’s profile picture is up for interpretation.
