Last week was all about letting the light in and celebrating the last remaining rays of sunshine. Forget all about that for now. This playlist embraces the darkness and the mystery of nighttime.

Hitlist: Let the light into your autumn

Russian DJ Nina Kraviz comes in on the first track and brings the Siberian iciness that’s perfect for a dimly lit walk. Other highlights include the delirious rap from love-him-or-hate-him rapper Tyler, the Creator, later paired with the cleaner, North London-accented rap from poet/rapper Kate Tempest.

Nighttime is often perfect for introspection and emotion, so included are some elegant ballads to enjoy (“Cuckoo,” “Goddess”). But if you want to move, check out the grimy and funky “Kombine” by up-and-coming English artist Georgia, who sounds like Kate Tempest’s punkier, electropop-loving twin. FKA Twigs closes out the playlist with a voguing-inspired song that seductively implores the dancer to “hold that pose for me.” Good night.
