It can be easy to fall into a rut when listening to popular American music, but even when it fails to satisfy, most Americans only look so far as the U.K. for fresh sound. Although often forgotten, there is luckily a rich world of music outside English speaking countries that begs for your ears’ attention.
This playlist spans four continents and celebrates some awesome songs, many of which aren’t in English. Cleo, a Polish pop/hip-hop artist, sings the first track, “My Słowianie” (We Slavs). It’s strange, but insanely fun. Many songs illustrate Europe’s love for catchy pop music (“Amazing,” “Euphoria”), and Korean girl group 2NE1 represents Asia with their K-Pop hit, “I Am the Best.” Listen up and broaden your musical horizon with this cosmopolitan playlist
