The Pope will be seen handing out his mix tapes throughout the Vatican. Maybe.

Everyone in the media is talking about it — Pope Francis is in town this week. What is even bigger news, though, is the Pope dropped an insane single and announced an album.

This could be the craziest news about a pope since Pope Urban II started the first crusade because this track burns hotter than the fires of hell.

The 11-track album Wake Up! is being produced by Italian prog-rock Tony Pagliuca and Don Giulio Neroni, both of whom have worked extensively with Pope Francis and Pope John Paul II on other religious pieces. They told Rolling Stone they will be combining the styles of rock, pop and Latin, mixed with the influence of sacred hymns.

The single “Wake Up! Go! Go! Forward!” opens up with a build of instrumentation that vaguely represents the “Top Gun” theme song. Pope Francis makes his debut speech on the song where he epicly preaches in English about individual responsibilities and living selflessly.

Wake Up! — set for a Nov. 27 release — will collectively demonstrate the recent papacy’s message of living in a progressive world, including the messages he recited to Congress, such as living in an open-minded world and how material possessions shouldn’t guide people’s goals.

Pope Francis deserves credit because he just turned an institution known for being out of touch with today’s youth into something at least semi-relatable. And despite their economic similarities, it’s no where near as goofy as Bernie Sanders’ folk album.

Whether the album ends up being a hit or not, Pope Francis can at least be acknowledged for spreading his holy message to a demographic outside of just Catholicism.
