The new Chipotle just might serve Madison’s biggest burrito yet. This new counter-service restaurant offers a surprisingly fresh alternative to the usual taco-joint fare. Simplicity, attention to detail and high-quality ingredients are the focus of State Street’s newest addition. Although the menu is comparable to Qdoba, the atmosphere, professional service and overall quality are a step up from its nearby burrito competitor.
Immediately, Chipotle’s menu simply challenges each customer to “savor the contradictions.” The locus of Chipotle is that it offers gourmet food you eat with your hands: a contradiction in itself. Also, the menu is simple, yet offers plenty of options to satisfy everyone.
“The focus is burritos and tacos. The choices are endless,” the menu reads.
The burrito consists of a giant flour tortilla, cilantro-lime rice, your choice of pinto or vegetarian black beans and your choice of salsa, cheese or sour cream.
