UW band does ‘Varsity’ and more at Domino’s on Gorham Street
In exchange for pizza discounts, members of the University of Wisconsin Marching Band put on a 20 minute show in front of the Domino’s at 409 W. Gorham St. Saturday afternoon.
“It came about because it was kind of a swap for pizzas. … They just got a better deal. Not free pizza,” said Heidi Yohn, a general manager at the Domino’s.
“This is the first time, hopefully next year,” she said.
The marching band is not performing at University of Nevada, Las Vegas, today, despite recent efforts by student organization Badger Trips to muster enough discounts and funding to send the band to the game that kicks off at 10 p.m. today.
