Not many students can say they’ve been in the same room as presidential hopefuls, but student journalists from The Badger Herald spent a long and action-packed day in Milwaukee Tuesday doing just that. Here’s a look into what went on behind the scenes of the presidential debate for members of the media and the candidates.
What UW students should take away from Milwaukee’s GOP Debate
The infamous Milwaukee Theater housed the fourth round of GOP debates. Upon our arrival at 10 a.m. not many other members of the media or public had arrived. This changed quickly about three hours before the first debate began, with a line forming that wrapped around the theater.
