The Student Services Finance Committee held eligibility hearings Monday for student organizations to continue receiving university funds.
SSFC approved F.H. King Students for Sustainable Agriculture’s eligibility. This student organization works to promote sustainable agriculture here at UW.
They also heard an eligibility presentation for the student organization Atheists, Humanists and Agnostics at the University of Wisconsin.
Erin Daly, finance director of F.H. King, said the organization was founded in 1979 and was named after UW Professor, F.H. King. Professor King was a soil physicist here at UW.
Every other year the organization applies for eligibility as a student organization, and every year they present their budget, Daly said.
“We have a GSSF status which is a general student services fund, so we are funded through university seg fees,” Daly said. “So, every other year we have to apply.”
The organization will return to SSFC in the upcoming months to present their budget for the upcoming fiscal year of 2017-2018.
