Madison Police Department is investigating a fight between two men on the 500 block of State Street early Saturday morning.
According to the MPD incident report:
When officers arrived on the scene just after 1:30 a.m., both the victim and the suspect involved in the fight had fled the area.

The victim, a 34-year-old male, was found nearby with injuries from an “edged weapon.”
The victim was transported to a local hospital for the injuries, and is in stable condition.
The victim was reportedly familiar with the suspect, who is described as a black male, between the ages of 20-30 with a “larger build.”
MPD is currently investigating the incident.
