President Barack Obama’s fifth State of the Union address will be broadcast live today at 8 p.m. CST. If you’re looking to take in the speech surrounded by your fellow Badgers, the speech will be shown on campus for your viewing pleasure (or ire):
Watch the State of the Union at the Union
Where: The Sett at Union South or Lakefront on Langdon at Memorial Union

Watch with Wisconsin Union Directorate’s Society and Politics committee:
Where: Union South, room Industry A (on the 3rd floor)
When: Tuesday at 8 p.m.
The WUD Society and Politics committee will be providing pizza and a short discussion following the speech for its “Pizza and Politics” event.
College Democrats State of the Union Watch Party
Where: Der Rathskeller, Memorial Union
When: Tuesday at 8 p.m.
Food and drinks will be provided.
If you’re unable to make to one of the watch parties, the State of the Union address will be broadcast live at 8 p.m. and will be available for online streaming in an interactive format at WhiteHouse.gov/SOTU. White House spokesperson Nathaniel Lubin said in a statement this will be a “responsive” version of the president’s speech optimized for desktop, tablet and mobile viewers.
Along with the live stream of the speech, users will have access to charts, data and graphics, as well as a brand new social media stream for an in-depth look at the address.
