University of Wisconsin Police Department issued a crime warning Friday of a reported sexual assault that occurred some time between Jan. 22 and Jan. 24.
According to a UWPD crime warning, the victim had been at the Red Shed bar, talking to an unknown male.
After taking several sips of her drink, the victim reported feeling dizzy and disorientated. The unknown male walked the victim back to a residence hall.
The victim reported to passing out, later waking up to the unknown male sexually assaulting her.
Marc Lovicott, UWPD spokesperson, said a third party notified the UWPD Friday morning of the incident. UWPD released a crime report within an hour to alert students.
Because the assault was not formally reported to UWPD, there is no investigation at this time.
