Madison Police are searching for the suspect of an armed robbery that occurred late Tuesday on State Street.
The robbery occurred at Life is Good in the 500 block of State Street around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday night, according to a police report.
When officers arrived at the store, they learned the suspect took an undisclosed amount of money from the the cash register after pointing a gun at the clerk and ordering her to the ground, the report said.

The clerk was not hurt in the incident, the report said.
The suspect is a black male in his 30’s, 5’7″ tall with a chubby build, and was last seen wearing dark clothing with a dark scarf covering his face, the report said.
