Police arrested a 19-year-old University of Wisconsin student for sexual assault, battery and disorderly conduct after a party early Saturday morning.
A Madison Police Department incident report said private security guards detained Frank Jermusek, a Saint Louis Park, Minn. native, after a sexual assault at an apartment party on the 400 block of West Gorham. The report said the suspect allegedly tried to put his hands down the 19-year-old female victim’s pants.
A male friend of the victim intervened, police reported, and the suspect then punched him. The report said the victim did not know the suspect.
According to the statement, Jermusek was intoxicated when he was apprehended by police.
Police spokesperson Joel DeSpain said these are state charges and the case will be brought before a district attorney.
