Police arrested a University of Wisconsin student in connection with the sexual assault of a woman at the Kohl Center Saturday.
The sexual assault occurred around 9:30 p.m. at a basketball game, UW Police Department spokesperson Marc Lovicott said. Erik Lockner-Kotek, a 22 year-old UW student, was intoxicated and yelling derogatory obscenities at the opposing team and fans at a basketball game, Lovicott said.
Lovicott said a security guard witnessed Lockner-Kotek slap a female on the “backside.” Lockner-Kotek was charged with fourth degree sexual assault, battery and disorderly conduct, he said.
The victim was not a UW student, but a female fan who was sitting across the aisle from the suspect, Lovicott said.
