Approximately 100 people gathered at the state capitol Sunday, purple lights in hand, as part of the Purplelight National Vigil for Hope. The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network event shined a light of hope on the more than 44,000 people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer each year, and the almost 38,000 people who will die from it.
