FLA clarification

As we reported on Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2001, the representative from the Fair Labor Activists, a workers’ rights monitoring organization, was unable to attend last Tuesday’s sweatshop forum.
To promote discussion, John Rosenblum, an attorney familiar with the FLA, presented information about the FLA in place of the FLA representative.
Rosenblum did not represent the FLA or any other monitoring organization.

Budget requests

“Major increases sought from SSFC hearings,” in the Monday, October 1, 2001 Badger Herald, incorrectly reported that the Multicultural Students Center, a student resource center, requested a budget increase from SSFC. In actuality, the Multicultural Students Coalition, the student organization that offices inside the Center, is requesting the budget increase.

WSUM on 91.7 FM

“Student radio station to hit airwaves soon” in the Herald’s October 1, 2001 edition incorrectly listed UW’s new student radio station’s frequency. The actual frequency is 91.7 FM. WSUM hopes to begin broadcasting within weeks.
