Hitlist: Songs to help you survive finals

Joni Mitchell, Glass Animals are here to drag you across finish line
Hitlist: Songs to help you survive finals

With finals coming up and tensions rising between roommates, a calming and tranquil playlist is what we all need.

This week’s hit-list combines simple singer-songwriter classics like Joni Mitchell’s achingly gorgeous “Little Green.” There are also some newcomers like Margo Price, whose country-tinged music is confessional and intimate. The way she spills her story over six minutes is peaceful and stunning. She’s one to look out for.

Still, this playlist is not driven solely by guitars. Glass Animals’ song “Gooey” features trippy synths (and an even trippier video). The beats are slower, punctuated by hand claps every now and then, and the whole vibe is relaxing and calming.

This playlist is perfect for long study sessions or perhaps simply to recover from them.
