After two periods of play in Madison, Minnesota still leads Wisconsin 2-0 after neither team was able to score in the second period.

The UM offense continued to dominate, outshooting UW 15-5 in the second and 27-12 through both periods.

With just 18.6 seconds left in the second period, Wisconsin was called for having six men on the ice resulting in a penalty and giving Minnesota their fourth power play of the game.

The Golden Gophers appeared to extend their lead to three on a power play goal with just six seconds left in the period, but the goal was waved off for goaltender interference on Minnesota’s Hannah Brandt.

Minnesota will enter the third period with 1:42 left in their power play.
