The Wisconsin men’s tennis team ended its season Friday with a loss to No. 6 seed Michigan in the Big Ten Tournament.
The Badgers (9-16, 1-10 Big Ten) fell to the Wolverines (15-11, 6-5) 4-0 in the first round of the conference tournament in Evanston, Ill.
Michigan made quick work of the doubles matches, taking the No.2 and No. 3 matches by scores of 8-3 and 8-1 respectively to give the Wolverines a 1-0 advantage in the match.
In the singles matches, Michigan’s Jessi Rossi took care of Alexander Kokorev 6-4, 6-0 in the No. 2 singles match.
The Wolverines clinched the match with wins in the No. 1 and No. 6 singles giving them a 4-0 lead, sending the Badgers home without a point.
Wisconsin’s Michael Sinha was the only Badger to win a set — 6-4 in the No. 4 singles matchup — before Michigan took the match.
