Whatever recruiting pitch the Wisconsin football team’s coaches are using in Arizona, it’s working.
The Badgers received two verbal commitments Thursday afternoon from a pair of Arizonan prep stars: Garret Rand and Kayden Lyles.
They both announced their decisions on Twitter in eerily similar styles.

Rand is a 6-foot-3, 275-pound defensive tackle from Chandler, Arizona. He has received a four-star ranking by 247Sports and is ranked the 15th-best defensive tackle in the country (131st overall).
Lyles is committed for the Class of 2017, so he won’t be on campus for approximately two years. But the offensive lineman checks in at 6-foot-3 and 290 pounds, and was given a four-star ranking by 247Sports.
Kayden Lyles is the younger brother of Kare Lyles, who is committed to Wisconsin for 2016 as a quarterback. Their father, Kevin Lyles, played at Wisconsin in the early 1990s when UW offensive coordinator Joe Rudolph served as a team captain.
