A college-aged woman was robbed on the 100 block of South Mills Street, just before 10 p.m. Tuesday night.
The victim was walking, when the suspect, a 20 to 25 year-old African American male, approached her from behind and displayed a handgun, according to the Madison Police Department incident report. The suspect took the victim’s backpack and iPhone and ran away, the incident report said.
The victim was not injured, the report said.
The suspect was last seen wearing a gray zip up hoodie, an orange shirt and blue jeans, the report said. Police attempted to find the suspect with a K-9 unit but were unable to track him, the report said.
Sgt. Linda Covert said police have not yet found a suspect.
