*2:58 ? 2 minutes before tip*
Senior Jamar Butler, who has started every game for the Buckeyes this year, is not in the starting lineup today. No word yet as for the reason, but it doesn’t appear to be because of injury as Butler led the team out of the locker room and participated in pregame warm-ups.

Some more notes as both teams are on the floor for warm-ups.
Value City Arena, like the Kohl Center, is celebrating its 10th season. The Buckeyes are 87-18 all-time in this building including 12-2 this year. The arena holds 19,049 with students at both end of the floor.
Brian Butch needs just eight points to become the 32nd Badger to reach the 1,000-point plateau.
*2:00 ? 1 hour before tip*
We’re live at Value City Arena in Columbus as Wisconsin is set to take on Ohio State. Check back later for updates during the game. Here are some pregame notes.
Since Purdue is idle this weekend, a win today would move the Badgers into sole possession of the Big Ten, a half a game up on the Boilermakers. A win today would also give UW its most conference road victories in a season. Entering today, Wisconsin is 6-1 on the road in the Big Ten (it’s only loss was to Purdue), which ties the school record for road conference wins set in 1912 and 1914.
Ohio State sits in fifth place in the conference standings and will try to make its case for the NCAA tournament with a win over Wisconsin. The Buckeyes will have a chance to get a number of signature wins down the stretch as they also play Indiana, Michigan State, and Purdue who are all ranked in the top 25.
Expect this game to be low scoring game like last year’s contests when the teams were No.1 and No.2 in the AP polls. The Badgers enter the game leading the Big Ten in scoring defense giving up 55.4 points per game. The Buckeyes are third with 60.1 points per game but lead the Big Ten in holding their opponents to .378 field goal percentage. The Badgers are right behind holding their opponents to a .388 field goal percentage
