After pair of wins last week against Penn State and Northwestern, the men’s basketball team moved up six spots in both the Associated Press and USA Today Coaches’ [polls](http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/rankings) to No. 11. Two fellow Big Ten schools also moved up this week. Indiana, who is tied with the Badgers atop the conference standings at 5-0, moved up two spots in both polls to No. 7/8 and Michigan State moved up one spot to No. 10 in both polls.
With the the wins last week, Wisconsin also started the Big Ten 5-0 for the second consecutive season for the first time since the Badgers did it three years in a row from 1912-14. Last year the Badgers started 7-0 before losing at Indiana. The Badgers put their undefeated conference record on the line tomorrow night when they face Michigan for the second time this month at 6 p.m. in front of a national television audience on ESPN. Wisconsin opened up the Big Ten season by beating Michigan 70-54 behind a 25 point effort from Jon Lueur.
