Well we’ve finally arrived at Sam Boyd Stadium. It’s not the biggest stadium ever … according to the media release it seats 36,800, roughly half the capacity of Camp Randall Stadium. What the stadium lacks in interesting architecture it makes up with a great view. Mountains are in the distance on all sides when looking out the press box. Another positive is that, although the temperature is a hot 100 degrees, club boxes and the press box block the sun for the most part, leaving most of the stadium and field in shadows. Walking around the city today and yesterday there should be plenty of UW fans in attendance.
