Mother Nature had a hell of a weekend.
If you were in Madison on Saturday, you might remember a very perplexing episode of atmospheric shenanigans in which the skies alternated from frisbee-on-the-quad weather to howling blizzard in a matter of minutes.
No, you weren’t dreaming — we were all confused.
Next time you’re telling the tale of these peculiar gales in a rustic seaside tavern, you don’t have to worry about a gang of skeptical mariners rejecting this outlandish claim because now you’ve got video proof.
The Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences maintains a timelapse camera feed cataloguing the skies over Madison. On most days, the results of this camera are only interesting for people who think clouds need to move much, much faster. But on Saturday, they captured a truly remarkable occurrence.
