How was your Halloween?

Alicia Faulker, UW Freshman:

On tickets: "Paying to be on a public street seems weird, but when you think of what the city has to do, it seems reasonable."

On Lifehouse: "They put on a good performance. It was fun seeing all the costumes, very festive."

Rick Rueter, UW Sophomore:

On State Street: "I didn’t go; I didn’t want to pay. … I ended up having people pay for me to walk through it."

On the bands: "I didn’t really care."

Kelsi Kennedy, UW Sophomore:

On State Street: "It was fun. … I spent most of the night waiting in line for the bathrooms."

On the bands: "I loved the reggae band (Ky-mani Marley). … I was a dancing fool."

Pathik Soni, UW Senior:

On State Street: "I walked down to the Capitol. … I thought it was a step in the right direction … better than 2003 with the riots. … They closed down the street early, so you couldn’t get to the restaurants or wherever you were going."

On the bands: "The atmosphere was good; the music was good. … I only saw [Lifehouse] for a few minutes, but they seemed good."

Sam Hasler, UW Junior:

"I just avoided the whole State Street fiasco."

On the bands: "The soundstages sucked. It was loud and the bands had a lot of bass drum, and they were right outside my apartment."

On Halloween: "I don’t like people, so I really don’t like people in costumes."
