Madison has once again been named one of the best places to live in the U.S.
According to a U.S. News and World Report ranking released Wednesday, Madison is the 24th best place to live out of the country’s 100 most populous cities.
Every year, the analysis assesses each of the most populous cities for value, desirability, strength of job market and quality of life on a 10-point scale, according to the U.S. News and World Report website.
Madison scored a 6 for desirability, a 6.4 for value, a 7.5 for job market and a 7.1 for quality of life, creating an aggregate score of 6.8.
In a featured profile of the city on the U.S. News and World Report website, freelance writer and local expert Holly Henschen further explains the appeal of Madison.
“Against a backdrop of high-tech businesses and acclaimed academic institutions, Madison, Wisconsin, exudes the casual, down-to-earth feel you’d expect in the capital of America’s Dairyland,” Henschen said.
Denver, Austin and Fayetteville, Arkansas, took the top three spots on this year’s list.
