Hosted by Madison Hindu Students Association and India Students Association, the Holi celebration this year definitely brightened spring and gave Madison a colorful start to the beautiful, warmer days ahead.
Around 11 a.m. in front of Dejope Residence Hall, dozens of students had already gathered around the lawn next to Lake Mendota with colors, sweat and big smiles on their faces.
The splatting of colors became a daring “war” between friends, not out of violence but out of celebration. The whole lawn turned into a chaotic but beautiful mess of mud, colors, water balloons and happiness.
With dynamic music, students danced with friends, taking plenty of precious selfies of colorful faces and laughing in the warm lake-shore breeze.
With all the colorfulness and blissfulness at Holi celebration, who still needs Coachella this year?
