For the first time in 14 years the Wisconsin men’s basketball team is headed for the Final Four. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience for the players and a rare opportunity for the fans, students included.
For those students looking to follow the Badgers to AT&T Stadium in Dallas, tickets will be $40 and will include a ticket to both the National Semifinals and the National Championship games.
Tickets went on sale Monday morning to season ticket holders, and non-season tickets holders will have their chance to purchase tickets Tuesday, if any still remain at that point.
Student ticket holders who pre-registered for the opportunity to go to the Final Four got the first dibs on purchasing tickets starting Monday morning. Then, at 12 p.m. Monday afternoon, students who did not pre-register received an email from the UW Athletics with a link to purchase tickets.
Those two groups of season ticket holders have until 11:59 p.m. Monday to register their reserved seating group of up to six people should they choose to purchase a reserved ticket which would be located in the lower level behind one of the baskets at AT&T Stadium.
If tickets are left after the student season ticket holders have had the opportunity to buy them, an email will be sent out Tuesday to the rest of the student body to give them an opportunity to take part in the event.
Wisconsin is allotted 700 tickets for students and 3,250 for non-students. Once the 700 tickets have been purchased, students will still have the opportunity to purchase standing room only tickets should any of the 3,250 tickets remain.
