Hoosiers lead Badgers 32-31 after 1st half

Wisconsin and Indiana are neck and neck after one half of play, with the Hoosiers leading 32-31 heading into the second half.

Indiana started things off with a bang after a three-pointer made by a wide open Victor Oladipo. But Wisconsin responded with it’s own sharp-shooting of Frank Kaminsky, as the big man showed off a softer touch beyond the arc with two big threes in a row to give the Badgers a six point lead with 9:50 remaining in the first half.

Kaminsky left the game a short while after his last three, as an errant elbow on a rebound from a Hoosier player caused him to bleed.

Kaminsky never returned for the rest of the half and led all Badgers with six points in the first half of play.

Jared Berggren got into foul trouble with three minutes remaining, but it didn’t really matter as Indiana’s star center sophomore Cody Zeller led all scorers with 18 points in the first half.

There were several highlight reel moments in the first 20 minutes, but none more so than Jared Berggren’s electrifying dunk. With time running out on the shot clock just six minutes into play, Berggren put the ball on the floor and posterized his defender with a one-handed sky dunk.
