Tragedy an opportunity for Gen Xers to show heart

The Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor was a military attack on a military installation that cost America 2,400 lives.

The recent terrorist attack, which coincidentally fell on Sept. 11 (911), was an attack that not only used civilian planes, personnel, and customers as its weapon, but civilian targets as its mission (with the exception of the Pentagon). Therefore, I would be of the opinion that anyone not in the support of the U.S. government and the people living under its security, is evil.

In light of this horror and tragedy, please don’t do what older generations assume we generation Xers will do: smoke a bowl and shrug.

Give blood, go to NY, say a prayer, I don’t care, but please, at the very least take light of the events of September 11, 2001, and know that this day will go down in infamy like no other day in the history of this great country.
