A Freedom from Religion Foundation member requested Gov. Scott Walker to release any communications between him and God, or any other form of deity. Walker’s office said no dice.
FFRF member Edward Susterich’s request included: “Since your terms as governor, please provide a copy/transcript of all communications with God, the Lord, Christ, Jesus or any other form of deity.”
FFRF seeks to promote the separation of church and state and education about nontheism. It also acts as the nation’s largest association of “freethinkers,” otherwise known as atheists, agnostics and skeptics.
Responding to the request, in a statement Walker’s office said “this office does not have records responsive to your request.”
Correction: The story previously said FFRF made this request, instead of an FFRF member. The Badger Herald regrets this error.
