Madison Police Department responded to the 400 block of North Frances Street early Monday morning for a individual having an overdose.
The subject was a 21-year-old white male, according to MPD daily significant calls blog.
After evaluating the subject, officers decided to take him into protective custody. The subject, however, did not agree and resisted the officers.

The subject was eventually transported to a local hospital for evaluation.
