Madison Police Department officers responded to a weapons violation on the 300 block of S. Bassett St. late Monday night.
According to an MPD incident report, at around 11:00 P.M., residents of 300 S. Bassett St. reported hearing gunshots. The callers also said their residence had been struck by bullets.
Officers who were dispatched to the area referenced shots fired. After investigating the scene, officers found casings located near the building.

MPD determined there were no injuries, although the building suffered damage from being struck by bullets.
