Two people were left injured after being pistol-whipped during a robbery at La Ville apartment complex on West Gorham Monday.
According to an original report from WKOW, the two victims were believed to have been shot, but a recent Madison Police Department incident report revealed no one had been.
MPD still believes, however, at least one of the suspects was armed.
The victims appeared to have been targeted by the suspects. One of the victims opened the door to their apartment for the suspects.
When the assailants were let in, the victims were robbed and pistol-whipped. Both victims were taken to the hospital with head injuries.
The suspects have been indicated as two black males in their 20s and one Hispanic male in his late 20s.
The investigation is ongoing.
