An accident involving a Madison Metro bus and an SUV resulted in two people being hospitalized late Thursday night, Madison Fire Department spokesperson Joe Seifert said.
The accident allegedly occurred at the corner of West Johnson Street and Broom Street, Madison Police Department officer Galen Wiering said. The accident was reported at 11:06 p.m., and shut down traffic until around midnight, Wiering said.
The passengers, who were also the SUV occupants, were conscious and taken to the University of Wisconsin Hospital for minor injuries, Wiering said. The bus is believed to have flipped the SUV.
